Welcome to the first South Boston StoopFest!
South Boston NDC and the South Boston Chamber of Commerce are proud to present StoopFest, a vibrant new music event designed to bring the South Boston community together while supporting local businesses. Scheduled for May 31, this family-friendly, walkable event will feature live music performances at various venues across the west side of South Boston, offering an eclectic mix of sounds for all ages.
The idea behind StoopFest is simple: combine the warmth of community gatherings with the joy of live music, all while encouraging attendees to explore and support South Boston’s small business community. With performances planned at locations ranging from local businesses and churches to South Boston NDC properties and private stoops, the festival aims to transform familiar neighborhood spots into stages for celebration.
Unlike traditional “porch fests,” StoopFest was designed to reflect South Boston’s unique personality and community spirit. “We wanted something that feels more personal to South Boston,” said Donna Brown, executive director of South Boston NDC. “By hosting performances on stoops, at businesses, and other local spaces, we’re creating a celebration that feels connected to the neighborhood’s roots.”
StoopFest, a rain-or-shine event, is rooted in volunteer efforts and a grassroots approach to organizing. The first year’s goal is to feature 10–12 performance locations, providing stopping points along a walkable route that connects West Broadway to emerging business areas on Old Colony and Dorchester Street.
We will be starting signups soon!
